Metastatic Lung Adenocarcinoma: A Case of Unusual Presentation With a Skull Mass

This case report describes an uncommon presentation of lung adenocarcinoma, which appeared as a skull mass. While not the first reported in medical literature, it is still rare occurrence for adenocarcinoma to present this manner. focuses on clinical and treatment elderly male patient who had progressively enlarging painful The initial imaging revealed about 5 cm soft tissue mass at dorsal midline parietal-occipital bone. Subsequent identified mass, biopsy bone confirmed that was metastatic originating from lung. For treatment, underwent occipital partial resection followed by wire mesh cranioplasty. Chemotherapy external beam radiotherapy were administered alleviate symptoms control spread cancer. Lung carcinoma with distant metastasis generally associated poorer prognosis. However, some supporting data suggest early detection aggressive management play crucial roles preventing further improving patient's quality life overall survival rate. Skull cancer indeed phenomenon, cases like these contribute valuable knowledge field.
